New playground feature for Heiner Park Free family event: Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs

Having the best possible parks and public spaces is part of my ongoing commitment to ensuring Enoggera Ward is an even better place to live.

Heiner Park is a great, much loved and well-used local park. That is why, I have secured funding to install new features at this park, to make it even better. These improvements include an upgrade to the gardens around the Scout Hall, an exciting new stationary train play feature for the playground and CCTV security around the main park facilities, improving the sense of safety for the community.

To celebrate these upgrades, I invite you and your family to join me at Heiner Park on Friday, 22 May from 4pm for an Outdoor Cinema in the Suburbs. Alongside a movie under the stars, from 4pm – 6pm there will be free activities including face painting, bubble play activity, and limited free ice-creams up for grabs!

As the sun sets, settle in for a screening of How to Train Your Dragon (2025) – Live Action (PG) at 6pm, a fantastic way to wrap up the afternoon. This movie screening will have subtitles.

This event is pet friendly! Please make sure to keep your furry friends on a leash if you bring them along.

I hope to see you there for a fun and family‑friendly evening in our local park.Enjoy the magic of the movies with How to Train Your Dragon (2025) at your local park.
