Works to install lighting along the Enoggera Creek Bikeway are anticipated to commence May 17 from Downey Park, Windsor, to Spencer Park, Newmarket.

The installation of lighting on Enoggera Creek Bikeway will enhance the safety and amenity for all pathway users. This project aims to encourage an increase in walking and cycling as part of a safe and accessible network enhancing Brisbane’s environment and minimizing traffic congestion.

This project is part of the Better Bikeways 4 Brisbane program, with Council investing $100 million over the next four years to extend Brisbane’s network of bikeways, improving access to local destinations and the CBD.

Construction will take place between 7am and 5pm on Monday to Saturday, with some out of hours work on Sundays. Local residents in close proximity to the site may experience some construction noise as these works take place.

The bikeway will remain open and accessible for the duration of these works, however, there may be temporary periods of delay. Traffic control will be in place during these works to ensure the safety of users.

These works are anticipated to be completed by early August 2017, weather permitting.

I apologise for any inconvenience and appreciate your patience during this time.
