It is always important to acknowledge the dedication of our soldiers and their contributions to making our nation and the world safer. In recognising this, Gaythorne RSL and Cr Wines, have placed the ANZAC Day Memorial on public land in Sid Loder Park. Gaythorne RSL has been keen to see the memorial placed in Sid Loder Park for some time and Cr Andrew Wines was really excited to be a part of making this happen.
“It was my great personal privilege to help arrange this and make the land available.”
ANZAC Day is an important event which brings the community together and now that there is a permanent memorial in the park, it is safer for everyone in the North West community to attend.
“I strongly believe in recognising the soldiers for their service and this is a monument to their sacrifice.”
